So, you want to send a video invitation to your baby shower. Congratulations! You have come to the right place. InVideo is the only invitation maker you will ever need. Since InVideo is an online slideshow maker, you don’t even need to download a bulky app to make videos. This flexible video editor can also be used as a Youtube intro maker, in case you wish to upload your work of art on the social media platform! Without further ado, here’s a checklist of all the ten simple steps to follow while creating your baby shower invitation:
1. Choose a template
If you have never created a video before, choosing a template and tweaking it according to your needs is the best place to start. InVideo allows you to select a template for your video project. Although there are no templates available specifically for a baby shower, there are hundreds of options to choose from. We are sure you will find something great in the InVideo template directory. To select a template, all you need to do is scroll down to the blue button that says ‘View more templates’ on the homepage and click on it. This will take you to our templates page. You can press Ctrl+F on your keyboard and search for relevant topics on the search bar that pops up on the top right corner.
2. Go over the editor
Once you select a template, you will be taken to the InVideo editor. This is where you actually create the video. The editor is divided into four vertical panels: the leftmost panel, the second panel, the central panel, and the rightmost panel.
a) Leftmost panel: The leftmost panel enlists the components you might need in your invitation video.
b) Second panel: The second column from the left allows you a peek inside all the components in the leftmost panel. For example, if you click on ‘Media’ in the leftmost panel, you see options to add videos or images of your choice. Under ‘Enhancers’ you see a list of interesting things you can add to the video to make it look super professional.
c) Central panel: The central panel shows you your video, with its details and a preview option below it.
d) Right panel: The rightmost panel allows you to edit colors, layers, size, add animation, and control the playback speed.
3. Add Media
To start making your video, click on Media in the leftmost panel and select the video and/or image you wish to start with. InVideo has a collection of over 1 million images and videos to choose from, and you can browse through that list in the search bar in the second panel to select the ones you like. Alternately, if you already have your videos/ images on your system, you can simply upload them. You can even combine your videos with the ones available on InVideo. Have you seen a more flexible online video editor?
Since a baby shower is a joyous event, enhancers will help you inject some fun in your invitation. As the name suggests, you can enhance your videos using a variety of options under this segment, such as stickers and icons, collage layouts, interesting overlays, random shapes and a new addition, masks, which are a quick and easy way to look pro. You can even embed your baby-shower related tweets or Instagram posts in your videos!
5. Add music
Next, add a fun vibe to the video by adding some music. InVideo allows you to add music from both its in-built music library and your own library. If you want to use the InVideo library, all you need to do is pick a category from the drop-down list in the second panel. There are all kinds of music available here – from electronic to bright, to mellow. You would probably need something in the happy, bright, or mellow category. This section also allows you to select how long you want the music to play in your video. If not too sure, you can play the video preview with the music and see if it goes well with it. Isn’t InVideo a surprisingly simple invitation maker?
6. Add text
Enter the details of the baby shower by using the ‘Text’ button from the leftmost panel and type in your message. You can even select headlines, sub-headlines, or simply add normal text. InVideo has a bunch of readymade text boxes for titles, body text, social media credits, location boxes, and others, which features a variety of cool ways to state your messages, such as interesting quote templates and boxes. Using an online slideshow maker has never been this easy!
7. Merge photos and videos
You can combine multiple photos and/or videos of your own to create that perfect video for Youtube; it’s extremely easy to do it with InVideo. All you need to do is click on ‘Uploads’ in the leftmost panel and select the file(s) of your choice from your directory. InVideo allows files of up to 800 MB size, so there’s no need to skip a video you want to add.
8. Add scene
Based on the template you have selected, you might even want to skip this step. But, if you are someone who loves learning new things and experimenting, you can try adding scenes to your invitation video. You can either add the in-built scenes available to you (shown in the second panel) or build your scene to make it more personal. Either way, the result will be epic. For sure!
9. Final touches
Once you have run through all the options in the left panel, take a look at the preview in the central panel and tweak the result to fine-tune it a bit. Important information such as scene and total durations are available right under the video. You can play around with the colors on the video using the ‘Change Project Colours’ in the rightmost panel, which also features video resizing, playback speed and video animation options.
10. Export video
Once you are happy with your invitation video, all you do is hit the blue ‘Preview & Export’ button on the top of the page, and your video is good to go! Congratulations, you just made a professional-looking baby shower invitation on your own! Do let us know if you found this checklist helpful.
