The Challenge

The budget is one of the most coveted and significant events for the group. While Indian Express primarily wanted to focus on live footage from the finance minister’s speech, its Hindi counterpart Jansatta wanted to leverage InVideo to create thumb-stopping video updates on the fly before, during and after the finance minister’s speech.

The Solution

Accordingly, we facilitated 3 frameworks for them to ensure videos would get churned out within 5 mins:
 
– A linear story-based framework for them to share their analysis.
 
– A highlights framework for them to keep punching out important points from the FM’s speech
 
– A what worked, what didn’t framework wherein they could just push out updates from the FM’s speech while it was happening live 

The Execution

We ensured that these frameworks were created for them within a matter of 3 days along with multiple rounds of feedback. We also ensured that the videos didn’t take anything longer than 5 mins to render by scaling our servers on the day of the budget.
 
Last but the least, we ensured 1 key account manager was dedicated for the team and worked with the team on the ground for the whole day to ensure minimum friction.

COMING UP NEXT

Jansatta now plans to work closely with InVideo to create more videos on a day to day basis while focussing on further increasing the quality of these videos with unique designs and layouts in order to better monetize these videos. Additionally, they intend to largely rely on InVideo to power their digital videos during the Lok Sabha Elections and the IPL over the next quarter.
