Find the perfect template

On the InVideo homepage, click on the blue button that says ‘Make A Video.’ Once you click on it, you will be taken to a page with a panel on the left and a central panel. You will notice two options in the central panel:

a) I want to convert the article to video, and

b) I want to explore pre-made templates.

Select the second option. Once you click on ‘I want to explore pre-made templates,’ you will be taken to InVideo’s in-built directory of hundreds of video templates.

On your keyboard, hold Ctrl+F, and you will notice a small window pop up in the top right corner of the screen. On that search window, simply type in ‘wedding invitation’ and you will notice a template being highlighted in the central panel below. Click on that to get started with an attractive template tailor-made for wedding invitations. Alternately, you could also type in ‘Wedding photography’ in the search bar and use that template.

Both the templates are 16:9 wide and suitable for both Youtube and Facebook. Once you’ve zeroed in on the template you like, click on ‘Start with this template.’ This will take you to the InVideo Editor.

Editor overview

As you notice, the editor is divided into four vertical panels: the leftmost panel, the second panel, the central panel, and the rightmost panel.

a) Leftmost panel: The leftmost panel enlists the components of the InVideo invitation maker

b) Second panel: The second column from the left allows you a peek inside all the components in the leftmost panel. For example, if you click on ‘Media’ in the leftmost panel, you see options to add videos or images of your choice. Under ‘Enhancers’ you see a list of interesting things you can add to the video to make it look professional (or even a work of art!).

c) Central panel: The central panel shows you your video, with its details and a preview option below it.

d) Right panel: The rightmost panel allows you to edit colors, layers, size, add animation, and control the playback speed.

Adding Media

Since you are making a wedding invitation, you might want to add tons of pictures with your fiancé/fiancée. To start adding pictures, click on Media in the leftmost panel and select the video(s) and/or images, you wish to start with. In case you need to use some videos and images outside your collection, you can always choose from InVideo’s collection of over 1 million images and videos.

Enhancers

Enhancers are a lot of fun, especially if it’s your first time using them. You can enhance your videos using a variety of options under this segment, such as stickers and icons, collage layouts, interesting overlays, random shapes and a new addition, masks, which are a quick and easy way to look pro. That’s the beauty of a flexible video creator like InVideo! You can even embed your wedding-related tweets or Instagram posts in your videos! Let your creativity run wild! Take your time with this, and it’s your wedding!

Adding music

What’s a video without music? InVideo allows you to add music from both its in-built music library and your own library. If you want to use the InVideo library, all you need to do is pick a category from the drop-down list in the second panel. For your wedding invitation, though, you would probably want to go with Bright, Funky, Happy or Romantic. This section also allows you to select how long you want the music to play in your video. If not too sure, you can play the video preview with the music and see if it goes well with it. Simple, right?

Adding text

You can add a special note about how happy you are to be marrying the perfect person in the world. Just select ‘Text’ from the leftmost panel and type in your message. You can even select headlines, sub-headlines, or simply add normal text. InVideo has a bunch of readymade text boxes for titles, body text, social media credits, location boxes, and others, which features a variety of cool ways to state your messages, such as interesting quote templates and boxes. Using an online slideshow maker has never been this easy!

Merge photos and videos

If you want to combine multiple photos and/or videos of your own to post the invitation on Youtube as well, it’s extremely easy to do it with InVideo. All you need to do is click on ‘Uploads’ in the leftmost panel and select the file(s) of your choice from your directory. InVideo allows files of up to 800 MB size, so there’s no need to skip a video you want to add.

Add scene

InVideo is an invitation maker that allows you to add scenes. You can either build them on your own (recommended, since it’s a wedding invitation!) or select from the template’s in-built scenes. Either way, the result will be epic. For sure!

Final touches

When you are done with the leftmost panel, take a look at the preview in the central panel and tweak the result to fine-tune it a bit. You can play around with the colors on the video using the ‘Change Project Colours’ in the rightmost panel, which also features video resizing, playback speed and video animation options.

Once you are happy with your video, all you do is hit the blue ‘Preview & Export’ button on the top of the page, and your wedding invitation is ready!

Show it to your partner and tell us what their response was. We’d love to know.
