Grok Bot + invideo

Grok Bot is xAI's bot builder. It runs on a cloud machine, and you chat with it from its desktop and mobile apps. Add the invideo plugin in one click and ask for a video in chat: Grok Bot opens a project in invideo Editor, sends you the link and makes each edit on the timeline while you watch.

Quick start

  1. 1

    Open Grok Bot

Sign in to the Grok Bot app on desktop or mobile

  2. 2

    Add the invideo plugin

  3. 3

    Ask for the edit

Common workflows

  1. 1Make a video

    • Ask Grok Bot for the video in chat
    • It opens a project in invideo Editor and sends you the link
    • Open the link to watch each edit land on the timeline
    • Ask for changes in the same chat
  2. 2Generate the shots

    • Ask Grok Bot to generate the missing shots with invideo
    • It picks a model for each shot and generates it
    • It places them on the timeline in order
    • It grabs frames from the timeline to check the cut
  3. 3Cut for every channel

    • Ask Grok Bot for a 1080x1920 copy of the widescreen cut
    • It duplicates the timeline and reframes each shot
    • It exports both to one page you can share
  4. 4Export and share

    • Ask Grok Bot to export the final cut
    • It renders it at 1080p and adds it to an export page
    • Copy the share link from the export page in invideo

Tips for success

  • Say "with invideo" when you ask for shots, so Grok Bot uses invideo's models
  • Keep the invideo link open to watch each edit land on the timeline
  • Ask for a checkpoint before a big change so you can go back to it

Frequently asked questions

How do I add invideo to Grok Bot?

Open the invideo plugin link, add the plugin and sign in with your invideo account. Or ask Grok Bot in chat to add invideo's MCP server (https://mcp.invideo.io/mcp).

Can Grok Bot use files on my computer?

No. Grok Bot runs on a cloud machine, so it can't reach your computer. It works with stock footage and music, invideo's generation models and the files already in your invideo project.
