What can I do by connecting Claude to my video editor through MCP?
Last updated October 6, 2026
Through MCP, Claude can carry out your editing instructions inside a connected editor. The available tasks depend on which controls the editor exposes through its MCP server.
Start with the concept, intended length, and source material. You can then direct Claude through the assembly, ask for changes to specific shots, add text and sound, and create alternate versions without handling every timeline operation yourself.
With invideo Editor’s MCP connection, Claude can use the editor’s manual controls and generate images, video, and audio for the project. You retain manual control of the same timeline. Connecting and performing ordinary edits are free; generated media uses invideo credits, with Claude’s usage allowance separate.
