Introducing Agentic Extend in invideo Editor

Extend a scene by up to 30 seconds through conversation. The invideo agent continues picture, dialogue, music and sound effects, with separate layers and manual controls to refine the result on the timeline.

invideo introduces Agentic Extend in invideo Editor, giving editors a new way to continue and reshape scenes through conversation.

Editors can bring filmed or generated footage and ask the invideo agent to extend a shot, build its opening or fill a missing section. The agent analyses the scene’s visuals and audio, then generates the continuation within the project. Editors can review the result, direct revisions and refine it manually.

From creative direction to a longer scene

Some decisions only become clear once the footage is on the timeline. A reaction needs another beat. A scene begins too abruptly. An action ends before the moment has had time to develop.

Agentic Extend lets editors work on those moments in the context of the sequence. They describe what should happen next and what should remain consistent, and the agent uses the existing scene to guide the continuation.

Extensions can run up to 30 seconds, giving editors room to develop an action, build context or hold a moment longer. The work happens inside the editor, where the continuation can be judged alongside the surrounding shots.

Continue dialogue, music and sound

A scene’s continuity depends on its sound as well as its picture.

Agentic Extend supports continuing a cut-off line in the same voice, extending music and carrying sound effects into the new material. It is designed to maintain the scene’s characters, products and audio identity as the action develops.

Voice, music and sound effects remain on separate layers. Editors can adjust their timing, change the balance or replace individual elements without rebuilding the entire sound bed.

The result gives editors control over how the continuation looks, sounds and fits the sequence.

Extend the beginning, middle or end

Editors can generate beyond a shot’s last frame, create a lead-in before its first frame or fill a missing or deleted section within a scene.

They can also regenerate a selected section in place when a moment needs a different treatment. A shot that worked on its own may need a different framing or direction once it sits within the edit.

These changes can happen as the sequence develops, with conversational direction and manual editing available in the same workspace.

Professional manual control throughout

Agentic Extend works on the same multitrack timeline the editor controls. Editors can inspect the generated material, trim the continuation, refine the audio layers and direct further changes.

The workflow keeps creative decisions with the editor. The agent carries out the generation, while the editor decides which result serves the scene and how it belongs in the finished cut.

Continue with the AI agent you already use

Through invideo MCP, editors can also connect agents such as ChatGPT or Claude to the same editing workspace. Their agent can work on the timeline, make further edits and generate additional media as the sequence develops.

Editors can review those changes and continue shaping the project manually, keeping creative direction and finishing control in their hands.
