How do I create an X-ray flash transition in my video?

Last updated September 30, 2026

The invideo agent inside invideo Editor can create an X-ray-style flash by generating a wireframe or blueprint-style image from a selected frame and inserting it briefly into your edit. Positioned around a cut, the flash can connect two shots or emphasise a reveal.

An example request is: “At this cut, insert a brief wireframe flash of the product, follow it with an inverted-colour flash, then continue into the next shot.”

The agent handles creating the visual inserts and arranging the short segments on the timeline. You can then trim their duration, move their placement and refine the surrounding cuts.

This combines generation with timeline editing. The generated image supplies the stylised appearance; the timeline determines its rhythm and relationship to the footage. Changing the flash timing is a direct edit, while changing the wireframe design may require a new image.

The result is a visual interpretation, not a view of the product’s actual internal structure.
