Invideo today introduced Notebooks in Agent Two: the place where a filmmaker steps out of the agent's free flow and works a single generation by hand, model by model and prompt by prompt, without ever leaving the project.
Every creative knows both modes of working. There is the wide mode, where the crew carries the production forward and you direct at the level of scenes and sequences. And there is the close mode, where one image matters enough to sit with it: pick the model yourself, write the detailed prompt yourself, fire it, tweak it, fire it again. Most tools force a choice between the two. Notebooks make them the same project. Start in free flow with the agent, drop into the Notebook to dial in one shot, and return to the agent, and everything you made by hand is already part of what it knows. Switching costs nothing.
Inside the Notebook, filmmakers get direct hands on close to 200 models across image, video, sound, and music, alongside a bench of production tools: upscalers, SDR-to-HDR converters, audio stem splitters, and more. The reason to come here is control: the model you trust, the prompt written to the letter, one generation worked in real depth.
The Notebook is also where a production stays organised:
Pages. With hundreds of assets in one project, work sorts into pages: scene one's generations on page one, scene two's on page two, or any structure you choose. Build the pages yourself, or direct the agent to build them: call for every approved asset to move onto one locked pre-production page, and the agent handles the migration.
Threads. Every generation in the project carries a thread ID: scene two on thread 14, its first shot at 14.1, the next at 14.2. That address makes every asset directable: tell the agent to take the character sheet from 14.2 and the location from 9.1 and combine them into a scene. No downloading, no folder full of files managed offline. The project holds everything, and everything can be pointed at.
Edit on the frame. Every generation carries an edit next to it. Open the image, annotate directly on it, or select a region and direct the change: outline the element that should not be there, say remove it, and it is gone.
"The agent handles everything for you, but sometimes you want to go manual and dial into one particular generation," said Urmil V, Product Marketer, invideo. Notebooks complete a picture the earlier releases began: Context holds what the project knows, the crew carries the production, and the Notebook is where the filmmaker's own hands go on the work, with nothing lost in either direction.
