Extra Credits
Extra credits is an opt-in, pre-paid balance you can use to keep working when your plan's monthly credits run out. This page covers enabling, buying, auto-reload, and managing your spending.
What is Extra Credits?
Extra credits lets you continue using invideo seamlessly after using up your plan's monthly credit allowance. Instead of being blocked when you hit your limit, generations draw from a pre-paid Extra Credits balance and you keep working without interruption.
How extra credits works
- You buy credits — manually, or set up auto-reload to top up automatically.
- When your plan credits run out, generations draw from your extra credits balance if extra credits are enabled.
- Your monthly spending limit caps how much can be consumed each billing cycle.
- You can pause consumption any time to fall back to the standard "out of credits" behavior.
Enabling Extra Credits
To enable extra credits on your paid invideo plan:
- Navigate to Usage → Extra Credits in your invideo account.
- Locate the Extra Credits section.
- Click Enable to turn on extra credits.
- Set your monthly spending limit to control costs (defaults to 80 credits). You can also select Set to unlimited if you prefer no spending restrictions.
- Optionally enable auto-reload to top up your balance automatically when it runs low — set a trigger balance (defaults to 20 credits) and a top-up amount.
- Click Buy credits to add your first balance — pick $50, $250, $1,000, or enter a custom amount (minimum $5, no maximum).
Auto-reload
Auto-reload tops up your balance automatically when it dips below a threshold, so you don't get interrupted mid-generation. It's off by default.
- You set a trigger balance (default: 20 credits) and a top-up amount (minimum $15).
- When your balance drops below the trigger, the system charges your subscription card for the top-up amount and adds those credits.
- Top-ups appear in your Extra Credits history.
To turn auto-reload on:
- Go to Usage → Extra Credits → Auto-reload.
- Set the trigger balance and top-up amount.
- Toggle Auto-reload on.
Setting spending controls
Two ways to stay in control of how much you spend on Extra Credits.
Monthly spending limit
- Default: 80 credits.
- Change it any time from Usage page.
- Resets at the start of each billing cycle.
- When usage hits the limit, further generations that need Extra Credits are blocked until your next billing cycle or until you raise the limit.
- The limit also caps auto-reload. Manual purchases are not capped — you can always buy more credits.
If you don't want any monthly cap, set the limit to Unlimited. The cap stops applying — only your balance limits consumption, and auto-reload runs without a monthly ceiling.
Pausing your Extra Credits
Temporarily stop drawing from your balance without losing any of it.
- Toggle Extra Credits off in Usage.
- Your balance stays — purchases and auto-reload still work, your balance can keep growing.
- When your plan credits run out, AI generations are blocked instead of drawing from Extra Credits.
- Toggle Extra Credits back on any time to resume.
How long do purchased credits last?
- 12 months from the purchase date.
- Credits don't reset with your billing cycle, unlike one-time credit packs.
- Extra credits expire with your current subscription.
