Yes — but only with structured inputs, not raw prompting. With these notes living in context, you never have to prompt fabric behavior shot by shot.
Evaluate every clip against three parameters. Before locking any generation, check: weave accuracy (does the texture read as the right material at this distance?), color accuracy (does it sit in the same value range as the reference under this scene's light?), and garment-body-environment interaction (is it draping, catching wind, reflecting light the way that material actually would?). If a clip fails any of the three, regenerate — don't lock it.
Where drift still happens, and what to do. The hardest cases are wind/motion sequences and high-contrast lighting transitions (hard sunlight to shade in the same shot). Two mitigations: generate a still image of the shot first and iterate cheaply on framing and light before spending video credits — "I only spent video credits on locked frames" — and add a garment-fall shot to your shot list, because a fabric falling on a still subject is the cleanest read of weight and consistency for a viewer. Across one documented two-ad fashion production, framing needed the most iteration; fabric behavior and texture were largely correct from initial generations once context was locked.
